about hot bed press
Established in 1994, Hot Bed Press is a not-profit open access printmaking studio based in Salford. We are dedicated to the support and promotion of everything print. We support artists by providing facilities to print in a professional, friendly and welcoming environment. We offer affordable studios, graduate scholarships and artist residencies and run over 45 workshops and courses a year.
Hot Bed Press moved into its current location, the Casket Works in Salford in 2006 and we have continually expanded since being here. We currently have 270 members and run over 40 weekend and evening courses plus year-long courses; The Complete Printmaker and Complete Book Arts courses. The Complete Printmaker goes onto a 2nd and 3rd year and includes advanced practices and professional development through printmaking, culminating in a London show.
With 21 studio spaces, scholarships and residencies, placements and bursaries and lots of other events such as Manchester Artists' Book Fair, our annual Wayzgoose and Under-The-Bed sale and major stands at Manchester Art Fair and The Hepworth Print Fair amongst others we simply have a lot going on and love to show off prints and our members' fantastic work... oh and the 20:20 Print Exchange, undoubtedly one of the biggest print exchanges in Europe.
