By mid November the whole exchange is sorted, boxed and delivered to eagerly awaiting workshops for their own launch days, open studio events and print sales. Some workshops have a print swap day for those involved in the 20:20.
Each year the whole print exchange goes on to tour nationally/internationally print workshops or to venues connected to print workshops .
The touring show has the number one from every edition produced that year, and the complete collection can be seen in one show. It's great to see the huge array of prints, styles, methods and subject. It gives a great insight into printmaking.
Those workshops that would like to exhibit the collection can get in touch with us and a timetable is arranged, including as many interested workshops as possible.
It works a little like Pass the Parcel, in that each exhibiting studio will pack everything up and send the whole package on to the next venue - if all goes well, Hot Bed Press will only be in possession of the print collection at the beginning and at the end of the Exchange year.
