THe 20:20 print exchange
The 2020 Print Exchange for 2018 was another bumper year, with a really diverse array of prints from across the UK and around the world. It was great to see prints coming in from Ireland, Hong Kong, Iceland and Russia, (unfortunately the prints from Canada arrived late after delays in the post despite them being sent in early October!).
Overall there were 577 artists from 41 workshops in this year's exchange. That's 14,425 prints that were created specially for the exchange, which is astounding.
Thanks go to all the artists, special thanks to all those who organised their members/artists, fielded questions, cajoled, encouraged and sorted from each workshop, group or university department. Now all the prints have winged their way to each workshop/studio and we are hearing lovely reports of Christmas 20:20 opening events, print swap sessions and sales of prints to support each organisation.
We have had lots of lovely messages of excitement, enthralment and general thanks for putting on the exchange.
It is one of those simple ideas that works so well it keeps on going and even expanding.
